This guide explains how to switch from Talk Home to EE and keep your mobile number.
Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once EE has your PAC code.
If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to EE.
Talk Home and EE both run on EE's network, so your coverage will not change when you switch. You are changing provider, but your signal will still use the same network.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from Talk Home and give it to EE.
You can usually give EE your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.
1. Request a PAC code from Talk Home
Switching from Talk Home and keeping your current phone number is easy. You don't need to memorise a new number or update all your contacts!
Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from Talk Home:
- Text "PAC" to 65075 from your Talk Home phone. You will get a text with your code. This is a free service from Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator).
- Phone: Call 579 from your Talk Home phone. Their customer support team will help you get your PAC code.
- Online: Log in to your Talk Home account online. Go to the "Porting" section and click on "Porting Out" to get your PAC code.
Requesting a PAC does not cancel anything. Your Talk Home plan carries on as normal until the code is used, and if you never use it, it simply expires after 30 days.
The text with your PAC will also show any early exit fees you would pay or credit you would lose by switching, so check it before you hand the code over.
2. Order a SIM only deal from EE
If you have not ordered yet, compare current SIM only deals below.
If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.
If EE asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give EE the PAC code using the method below.
EE SIM plans are tiered, and inclusive EU roaming only starts at the Essentials Plus tier, so check what is included before you order.
3. Give the PAC code to EE
Once you have your PAC code, follow these steps to give it to EE:
- Online: Give your PAC code to EE via their online transfer form.
- Phone: Call EE on 150 from your EE phone or 07953 966250 from another phone.
- Open everyday from 8am - 6pm.
- In-store: Pop in to your nearest EE store and give them your PAC code.
EE will then handle the transfer of your number. Give them your PAC code within 30 days of receiving it — after that it expires and you will need to request a new one from Talk Home.
4. Wait for your number transfer to EE to complete
EE will send the transfer request to Talk Home.
Your number should move to your new EE SIM within 1 to 2 working days.
