All stated costs assume that you will pay your monthly charges via direct debit, unless otherwise stated. Networks that require payment via direct debit may charge you a higher monthly cost if you do not pay via direct debit.
Ofcom-accredited price comparison
SIM Only Finder is accredited by Ofcom, the UK's independent regulator for communications services. Accreditation is awarded to comparison sites that meet Ofcom's standards for accuracy, transparency, and impartiality.
This means the deals you compare here are checked for accuracy, presented without bias toward any network, and reflect the actual cost you would pay. We do not promote deals based on commission earned.
Which networks offer Black Friday SIM only deals?
Most of the major UK networks and a number of MVNOs typically participate in Black Friday. O2, Three, Vodafone, Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile, and Giffgaff usually run limited-time offers in late November. Budget MVNOs such as Spusu, Lycamobile, Lebara, and Mozillion tend to offer strong pricing year-round, so their Black Friday deals are sometimes incremental rather than a step change. Spusu, Lycamobile, and Mozillion all run on EE. Lebara runs on Vodafone. The underlying network determines your coverage, so if you already know which network works best where you are, that is a useful starting point when comparing.
Do I need a credit check for a Black Friday SIM only deal?
It depends on the network. Budget MVNOs including Spusu, Lycamobile, Mozillion, Lebara, and Asda Mobile typically offer no credit check options. The larger networks including O2, Three, and Vodafone generally require one. If credit history is a concern, use the no credit check filter above, or browse our no credit check SIM only deals page for a broader view.
Is Black Friday actually a good time to buy a SIM only deal?
It depends on which type of network you are looking at. The budget MVNO market is competitive enough year-round that deals from networks like Spusu, Lycamobile, and Mozillion are often as good in April as they are in November. Where Black Friday tends to make more of a difference is at the premium end, with networks like O2, Three, and Vodafone occasionally offering meaningfully larger data allowances or lower prices for a limited period. If you are primarily looking at those networks, it is worth waiting until November. If you are already looking at budget MVNOs, the standard market listings are worth comparing now without waiting. Our network coverage guide is a good place to start if you are undecided on which network suits your area.
Watch out for promotional pricing
Black Friday deals often come with introductory pricing that reverts to a higher standard rate after one, three, or six months. Always check the full contract terms before signing up, and factor in the ongoing cost rather than just the headline offer price. Our guide to mid-contract price rises is worth reading before committing to any 12 or 24-month deal, as policies vary by network.
Can I get an eSIM on a Black Friday SIM only deal?
Yes, though not every network supports them. Spusu, Lycamobile, Mozillion, and Asda Mobile all have eSIM-compatible deals available. Use the eSIM filter above to narrow things down, or compare the full range on our eSIM deals page. If you are not sure whether your phone supports eSIM, our guide to what an eSIM is and which UK networks support them is a good starting point.
Does 5G come as standard on Black Friday SIM only deals?
Yes. Most deals from the major networks and budget MVNOs now include 5G as standard. Whether you can access it depends on your handset and where you live. EE and Vodafone have strong 5G coverage in most major UK cities, while Three's footprint is still growing in some rural areas. Our network coverage guide is worth checking before committing to any network.
How we rank Black Friday SIM only deals
By default, deals are sorted by lowest monthly price. You can change the sort order at any time using the controls above the listings and filter by data allowance, contract length, minutes, and eSIM availability. All deals shown are updated automatically. SIM Only Finder is an Ofcom-accredited UK mobile comparison site and earns a commission on deals taken out via our links. This does not affect how deals are ranked.
