All stated costs assume that you will pay your monthly charges via direct debit, unless otherwise stated. Networks that require payment via direct debit may charge you a higher monthly cost if you do not pay via direct debit.
Ofcom-accredited price comparison
SIM Only Finder is accredited by Ofcom, the UK's independent regulator for communications services. Accreditation is awarded to comparison sites that meet Ofcom's standards for accuracy, transparency, and impartiality.
This means the deals you compare here are checked for accuracy, presented without bias toward any network, and reflect the actual cost you would pay. We do not promote deals based on commission earned.
Which networks offer 30 day SIM only contracts?
You'll find deals from Spusu, Asda Mobile, Lebara, Lycamobile, Smarty, 1pMobile, Giffgaff, O2, Sky Mobile, Three, Vodafone, and others. Most are MVNOs running on one of the four main UK networks. Spusu, Lycamobile, Smarty, and 1pMobile all run on EE. Asda Mobile and Lebara run on Vodafone. The underlying network determines your coverage, so if you already know which network works best in your area, that's a useful starting point.
Do I need a credit check on a 30 day SIM only contract?
Generally not, and this is one of the real advantages of going rolling. Spusu, Asda Mobile, Lebara, Lycamobile, Smarty, and 1pMobile all offer no credit check options at this contract length. Some networks such as O2 and Vodafone may still run a soft check, but approval rates on 30-day contracts are higher than on longer deals because the financial commitment is lower. For a broader view, see our no credit check SIM only deals page.
Which 30 day SIM only deal is worth your money right now?
Spusu at £3.90 a month is the pick. You get 3GB of data, 500 minutes, 500 texts, 5G, free EU roaming, no credit check, and no annual price rises on EE's network. For a rolling monthly deal that's a strong package, and the no annual price rises commitment is worth paying attention to. Your bill stays the same for as long as you keep the plan, which not every network can say. If you need more data, Spusu's 5GB plan at £4.50 a month keeps all the same benefits and adds unlimited minutes and texts. Before signing up on any rolling contract, it's worth knowing how mid-contract price rises work, as some networks apply annual increases even without a fixed term.
Watch out for promotional pricing
Lebara has two 5GB deals worth flagging. One is priced at £4.50 a month, the other at £5.00, and both drop to £1.49 a month for the first three months if you use voucher code LEBARA5. That's a good headline rate, but make sure you're comfortable with the standard price before you sign up, as that's what you'll be paying from month four onwards. Lycamobile also has a 5GB deal at £5.00 a month with a promotional rate of £2.50 for the first three months, so the same principle applies.
Can I get an eSIM on a 30 day SIM only contract?
Yes, though not every network supports them. Spusu, Lycamobile, Asda Mobile, and 1pMobile all have eSIM-compatible 30-day deals available. Use the eSIM filter above to narrow things down, or browse the full range on our eSIM deals page. If you're not sure whether your phone supports eSIM, our guide to what an eSIM is and which UK networks support them is a good starting point.
Does 5G come as standard on 30 day SIM only deals?
Most of the deals here include 5G. Whether you can actually access it depends on your handset and where you live, and our network coverage guide is useful if you want to compare coverage before committing.
30 day vs 12 month vs 24 month: which is right for you?
A 30-day deal gives you maximum flexibility but usually costs a little more per month than an equivalent 12-month SIM only deal or 24-month SIM only deal for the same allowance. If you're between phones, waiting to see if your situation changes, or you simply don't want to be tied in, the extra monthly cost is worth it. If things are more settled, locking in for 12 or 24 months will usually get you a better rate for the same data.
How we rank 30 day SIM only deals
By default, deals are sorted by lowest monthly price. You can change the sort order at any time using the controls above the listings and filter by data allowance, contract length, minutes, and eSIM availability. All deals shown are updated automatically. SIM Only Finder is an Ofcom-accredited UK mobile comparison site and earns a commission on deals taken out via our links. This does not affect how deals are ranked.
