This guide explains how to switch from Talk Home to Lycamobile and keep your mobile number.

Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once Lycamobile has your PAC code.

If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to Lycamobile.

Talk Home and Lycamobile both run on EE's network, so your coverage will not change when you switch. You are changing provider, but your signal will still use the same network.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from Talk Home and give it to Lycamobile.

You can usually give Lycamobile your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.

1. Request a PAC code from Talk Home

Switching from Talk Home and keeping your current phone number is easy. You don't need to memorise a new number or update all your contacts!

Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from Talk Home:

Text "PAC" to 65075 from your Talk Home phone. You will get a text with your code. This is a free service from Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator).
Phone: Call 579 from your Talk Home phone. Their customer support team will help you get your PAC code.
Online: Log in to your Talk Home account online. Go to the "Porting" section and click on "Porting Out" to get your PAC code.

Requesting a PAC does not cancel anything. Your Talk Home plan carries on as normal until the code is used, and if you never use it, it simply expires after 30 days.

The text with your PAC will also show any early exit fees you would pay or credit you would lose by switching, so check it before you hand the code over.

If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.

If Lycamobile asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give Lycamobile the PAC code using the method below.

Most Lycamobile bundles include international minutes, making it a strong fit if you regularly call abroad.

Lycamobile does not run a credit check, so there is nothing to wait for during sign-up.

Lycamobile offers eSIMs, so you can switch without waiting for a physical SIM to arrive.

3. Give the PAC code to Lycamobile

Once you have your PAC code, here is how to give it to Lycamobile:

Online: Enter your PAC code at checkout when you order, or email Lycamobile at cs@lycamobile.co.uk or use the live chat on their website.
Phone: Call 322 from your Lycamobile phone or 0207 132 0322 from any other phone.
