This guide explains how to switch from EE to EcoTalk and keep your mobile number.
Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once EcoTalk has your PAC code.
If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to EcoTalk.
EcoTalk runs on EE's network, so your coverage will not change when you switch. You are changing provider, but your signal will still use the same network.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from EE and give it to EcoTalk.
You can usually give EcoTalk your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.
1. Request a PAC code from EE
Switching from EE and keeping your current phone number is straightforward. There is no need to memorise a new number or update all your contacts!
Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from EE:
- Text: Text "PAC" to 65075 from your EE phone. You will get a text back with your code within a minute. This is a free service from Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator).
- Online: Login to your EE account and choose to Leave EE via your account settings.
- Phone: Call EE on 150 from your EE phone or 07953 966250 from another phone.
- Open everyday from 8am - 6pm.
- In-store: Pop in to your nearest EE store and request your PAC code.
Requesting a PAC does not cancel anything. Your EE plan carries on as normal until the code is used, and if you never use it, it simply expires after 30 days.
The text with your PAC will also show any early exit fees you would pay or credit you would lose by switching, so check it before you hand the code over.
2. Order a SIM only deal from EcoTalk
If you have not ordered yet, compare current EcoTalk SIM only deals below.
If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.
If EcoTalk asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give EcoTalk the PAC code using the method below.
EcoTalk plans are rolling monthly and the network puts profits into nature restoration projects.
EcoTalk does not run a credit check, so there is nothing to wait for during sign-up.
3. Give the PAC code to EcoTalk
Once you have your PAC code, here is how to give it to EcoTalk:
- At checkout: Enter your PAC code when you order your EcoTalk SIM.
- Phone: If you have already ordered, call EcoTalk on 033 3800 5500 and give them your PAC code.
4. Wait for your number transfer to EcoTalk to complete
EcoTalk will send the transfer request to EE.
Your number should move to your new EcoTalk SIM within 1 to 2 working days.
