This guide explains how to switch from Three to Smarty and keep your mobile number.
Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once Smarty has your PAC code.
If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to Smarty.
Smarty runs on Three's network, so your coverage will not change when you switch. You are changing provider, but your signal will still use the same network.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from Three and give it to Smarty.
You can usually give Smarty your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.
1. Request a PAC code from Three
Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from Three:
- Text: Text "PAC" to 65075 from your Three phone. You will get a text back with your code within a minute. This is a free service from Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator).
- Online: Log in to My3 or the Three app and go to Manage your plan, then Leave Three, to request your PAC code. You can also ask via live chat on Three's website.
- Phone: Call 333 from your Three phone or 0333 338 1001 from any other phone.
- In-store: Visit a Three store and request a PAC code from a member of staff.
2. Order a SIM only deal from Smarty
If you have not ordered yet, compare current Smarty SIM only deals below.
If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.
If Smarty asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give Smarty the PAC code using the method below.
Smarty plans are rolling monthly with no annual price rises, so you can change or leave any month.
Smarty does not run a credit check, so there is nothing to wait for during sign-up.
Smarty offers eSIMs, so you can switch without waiting for a physical SIM to arrive.
3. Give the PAC code to Smarty
Once you have your PAC code, here is how to give it to Smarty:
- Online: Enter your PAC code at checkout when you order, or log in to your Smarty account and go to Menu, Account settings, Your phone number, then Enter my PAC or STAC code.
- Webchat: Contact Smarty's customer service team through webchat to hand over your PAC code.
4. Wait for your number transfer to Smarty to complete
Smarty will send the transfer request to Three.
Your number should move to your new Smarty SIM within 1 to 2 working days.
