This guide explains how to switch from Talk Home to Chattr and keep your mobile number.
Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once Chattr has your PAC code.
If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to Chattr.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from Talk Home and give it to Chattr.
You can usually give Chattr your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.
1. Request a PAC code from Talk Home
Switching from Talk Home and keeping your current phone number is easy. You don't need to memorise a new number or update all your contacts!
Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from Talk Home:
- Text "PAC" to 65075 from your Talk Home phone. You will get a text with your code. This is a free service from Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator).
- Phone: Call 579 from your Talk Home phone. Their customer support team will help you get your PAC code.
- Online: Log in to your Talk Home account online. Go to the "Porting" section and click on "Porting Out" to get your PAC code.
Requesting a PAC does not cancel anything. Your Talk Home plan carries on as normal until the code is used, and if you never use it, it simply expires after 30 days.
The text with your PAC will also show any early exit fees you would pay or credit you would lose by switching, so check it before you hand the code over.
2. Order a SIM only deal from Chattr

If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.
If Chattr asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give Chattr the PAC code using the method below.
Chattr includes EU roaming at no extra cost, and everything is handled online rather than in-store.
Chattr does not run a credit check, so there is nothing to wait for during sign-up.
Chattr offers eSIMs, so you can switch without waiting for a physical SIM to arrive.
3. Give the PAC code to Chattr
Once you have your PAC code, here is how to give it to Chattr:
- At checkout: Enter your PAC code when you order your Chattr SIM.
- Email: If you have already ordered, email your PAC code and the number you are transferring to hello@chattr.co.uk.
4. Wait for your number transfer to Chattr to complete
Chattr will send the transfer request to Talk Home.
Your number should move to your new Chattr SIM within 1 to 2 working days.
