This guide explains how to switch from Smarty to iD Mobile and keep your mobile number.
Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once iD Mobile has your PAC code.
If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to iD Mobile.
Smarty and iD Mobile both run on Three's network, so your coverage will not change when you switch. You are changing provider, but your signal will still use the same network.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from Smarty and give it to iD Mobile.
You can usually give iD Mobile your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.
1. Request a PAC code from Smarty
Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from Smarty:
- Text: Text "PAC" to 65075 from your Smarty phone. You will get a text back with your code within a minute. This is a free service from Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator).
- Online: Log in to your Smarty account, go to Account settings, then Manage plan, and follow the steps under Leave Smarty.
- Webchat: Contact Smarty's customer service team through webchat on their website.
Smarty does not offer phone support, so requests are handled by text, online account, or webchat.
2. Order a SIM only deal from iD Mobile

If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.
If iD Mobile asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give iD Mobile the PAC code using the method below.

iD Mobile offers eSIMs, so you can switch without waiting for a physical SIM to arrive.
3. Give the PAC code to iD Mobile
Once you have your PAC code, here is how to give it to iD Mobile:
- Online: Enter your PAC code at checkout when you order, or fill in iD Mobile's number transfer form once your new SIM is active.
- Live chat: Contact iD Mobile's live chat team through the Help and Support page.
4. Wait for your number transfer to iD Mobile to complete
iD Mobile will send the transfer request to Smarty.
Your number should move to your new iD Mobile SIM within 1 to 2 working days.
