This guide explains how to switch from ParentShield to 1pMobile and keep your mobile number.
Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once 1pMobile has your PAC code.
If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to 1pMobile.
ParentShield and 1pMobile both run on EE's network, so your coverage will not change when you switch. You are changing provider, but your signal will still use the same network.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from ParentShield and give it to 1pMobile.
You can usually give 1pMobile your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.
1. Request a PAC code from ParentShield
Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from ParentShield:
- Text: Text "PAC" to 65075 from the ParentShield phone. ParentShield will seek authorisation from the account holder before releasing the code, so a child cannot port the number out without the parent knowing.
- Phone: Call ParentShield on 0330 122 1180.
- Live chat: Use the live chat on the ParentShield website or in the Portal.
On Roam Stage SIMs the account closes when a PAC is used or when it expires, even if unused. On other plans, an unused PAC simply lapses and the account carries on as normal.
2. Order a SIM only deal from 1pMobile
If you have not ordered yet, compare current 1pMobile SIM only deals below.
If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.
If 1pMobile asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give 1pMobile the PAC code using the method below.
1pMobile's 30-day Boost bundles have no contract, and if you use up your data the excess charges at 1p per MB instead of cutting you off.
1pMobile does not run a credit check, so there is nothing to wait for during sign-up.
1pMobile offers eSIMs, so you can switch without waiting for a physical SIM to arrive.
3. Give the PAC code to 1pMobile
Once you have your PAC code, here is how to give it to 1pMobile:
- Online: Enter your PAC code at checkout when you order, or log in to your online account, or contact support by email or live chat.
- Phone: Call 03333 442278, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Calls are charged at your standard network rate.
4. Wait for your number transfer to 1pMobile to complete
1pMobile will send the transfer request to ParentShield.
Your number should move to your new 1pMobile SIM within 1 to 2 working days.
