This guide explains how to switch from EE to Talk Home and keep your mobile number.
Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once Talk Home has your PAC code.
If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to Talk Home.
Talk Home runs on EE's network, so your coverage will not change when you switch. You are changing provider, but your signal will still use the same network.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from EE and give it to Talk Home.
You can usually give Talk Home your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.
1. Request a PAC code from EE
Switching from EE and keeping your current phone number is straightforward. There is no need to memorise a new number or update all your contacts!
Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from EE:
- Text: Text "PAC" to 65075 from your EE phone. You will get a text back with your code within a minute. This is a free service from Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator).
- Online: Login to your EE account and choose to Leave EE via your account settings.
- Phone: Call EE on 150 from your EE phone or 07953 966250 from another phone.
- Open everyday from 8am - 6pm.
- In-store: Pop in to your nearest EE store and request your PAC code.
Requesting a PAC does not cancel anything. Your EE plan carries on as normal until the code is used, and if you never use it, it simply expires after 30 days.
The text with your PAC will also show any early exit fees you would pay or credit you would lose by switching, so check it before you hand the code over.
2. Order a SIM only deal from Talk Home
If you have not ordered yet, compare current SIM only deals below.
If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.
If Talk Home asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give Talk Home the PAC code using the method below.
Talk Home specialises in international calling, with international minutes to around 50 destinations included on its bigger plans.
3. Give the PAC code to Talk Home
Once you have your PAC code, follow these steps to give it to Talk Home:
- Phone: Call 579 from your Talk Home phone. Their customer support team will help you get your PAC code.
- Online: Give Talk Home your PAC code via your account area.
Talk Home will then handle the transfer of your number. Give them your PAC code within 30 days of receiving it — after that it expires and you will need to request a new one from EE.
4. Wait for your number transfer to Talk Home to complete
Talk Home will send the transfer request to EE.
Your number should move to your new Talk Home SIM within 1 to 2 working days.
