Vodafone Launches SuperMobile With 5G+ FastTrack and a 15Mbps Speed Guarantee

Vodafone has launched a new range of premium mobile plans called SuperMobile, which promise faster speeds in busy areas, a minimum download speed guarantee and added security features. The plans went live in September 2026 and are available on SIM-only and selected pay monthly phone contracts. SuperMobile sits above Vodafone's standard Vodafone SIM-only plans and is aimed at customers who want better performance rather than simply more data.

At the centre of the range is a feature called 5G+ FastTrack, which gives eligible customers priority access to mobile data when the network is busy.

What is Vodafone 5G+ FastTrack?

5G+ FastTrack is designed to improve mobile performance in places where large numbers of people use the network at the same time, such as busy railway stations, city centres, festivals and sporting events.

Vodafone says customers connected to 5G+ FastTrack can reach speeds up to four times faster than customers on its standard plans in high demand areas. It also says SuperMobile customers can see speeds up to twice as fast when using a standard 4G or 5G connection.

The feature uses network prioritisation and 5G network slicing. In practical terms, this lets Vodafone set aside a dedicated lane of its 5G+ network for SuperMobile traffic rather than treating every connection in exactly the same way. Customers do not need to switch it on manually, as it works automatically on an eligible device connected to the 5G+ FastTrack network. Vodafone says the enhanced prioritisation applies to up to 600GB of data each month, after which standard speeds apply until the next billing cycle.

The 15Mbps minimum speed guarantee

One of the more unusual features of SuperMobile is its minimum download speed guarantee. Vodafone guarantees download speeds of at least 15Mbps while a customer is connected to 5G+ FastTrack. If it cannot provide that speed and cannot resolve the problem, eligible customers can leave their airtime plan without paying an early termination charge.

There are important conditions. The guarantee does not apply to every Vodafone connection, and the customer needs to be connected to 5G+ FastTrack for it to count. Vodafone's current process requires three speed tests across three days, and Vodafone has up to 30 days to fix the issue before the right to leave without a charge applies.

It is therefore better understood as a guarantee covering the performance of Vodafone's premium 5G+ service, rather than a promise of at least 15Mbps everywhere a customer uses their phone. If you are wondering what a 15Mbps floor actually delivers in day to day use, see our guide to mobile data speeds explained.

Secure Net Mobile is included

SuperMobile also includes Vodafone's Secure Net Mobile service at no extra cost, where standard plans include only a three month trial. Secure Net works at network level to help block malicious websites, malware and phishing attempts before they reach a phone.

Vodafone says SuperMobile adds identity monitoring, scam call protection and further security from its 5G+ network encryption. This means customers do not need to install a separate app for many of Secure Net's core protections.

How much does Vodafone SuperMobile cost?

At launch, the SIM-only SuperMobile plans start at £30 per month on a 24 month contract. Vodafone offers a 30GB SuperMobile Xtra plan for £30 per month, a 120GB plan for £34 per month and an Unlimited plan for £43 per month. These prices were correct when this article was published and may change.

Vodafone says SuperMobile costs from around £3 per month more than the equivalent Full Speed Xtra plans on selected contracts, though the gap is wider on some tariffs. As with other Vodafone plans, the monthly price rises each April by a fixed amount set out in the contract, so the figure you start on is not the figure you pay for the full term. Our guide to mid-contract price rises explains how these increases work.

What Vodafone SuperMobile means for customers

SuperMobile is a notable change because Vodafone is not simply offering more data. It is charging more for a different level of network performance, which is unusual in the UK market.

The biggest potential benefit is for people who regularly use mobile data in busy locations. Network congestion can leave you with a strong 4G or 5G signal but still slow downloads, buffering or pages that struggle to load, and FastTrack is built to improve performance in exactly those situations. Vodafone is not the only network changing how it handles speed: Three recently introduced 100Mbps speed caps on new plans, so how each network manages speed is becoming a real point of difference.

For someone who rarely runs into congestion, paying more for SuperMobile may bring less noticeable benefit. The data allowance, contract length, monthly price and coverage where you actually use your phone should still guide any comparison. The 15Mbps guarantee is useful, but it applies specifically on Vodafone's 5G+ FastTrack network rather than everywhere Vodafone has coverage.

For customers who value better performance in congested areas, the combination of FastTrack, Secure Net Mobile and the speed guarantee makes SuperMobile one of the more distinctive premium propositions currently available.
