This guide explains how to switch from EcoTalk to Tesco Mobile and keep your mobile number.
Most number transfers complete within 1 to 2 working days once Tesco Mobile has your PAC code.
If you want a new number instead, text STAC to 75075 and give the code to Tesco Mobile.
This switch will take you from EE's network to O2's network. Coverage may differ in some areas. Check Tesco Mobile's coverage checker before switching.

To keep your number, request a PAC code from EcoTalk and give it to Tesco Mobile.
You can usually give Tesco Mobile your PAC code when you order, or after your new SIM card or eSIM has been activated.
1. Request a PAC code from EcoTalk
Here is how to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from EcoTalk:
- Text: Text "PAC" to 65075 from your EcoTalk phone. You will get a text back with your code within a minute. This is a free service from Ofcom (the UK's communications regulator).
- Phone: Call EcoTalk on 033 3800 5500 from any UK phone.
2. Order a SIM only deal from Tesco Mobile
If you have not ordered yet, compare current Tesco Mobile SIM only deals below.
If you already have your new SIM, continue to Step 3.
If Tesco Mobile asks for your PAC code during checkout, enter it there. If not, wait for your new SIM or eSIM to activate, then give Tesco Mobile the PAC code using the method below.

Tesco Mobile offers eSIMs, so you can switch without waiting for a physical SIM to arrive.
3. Give the PAC code to Tesco Mobile
Once you have your PAC code, here is how to give it to Tesco Mobile:
- Text: Text "Port" to 23424 from your Tesco Mobile SIM and follow the instructions that come back by text.
- Online: Use the web chat on Tesco Mobile's website to hand over your PAC code.
- Phone: Call 4455 from your Tesco Mobile phone or 0345 301 4455 from any other phone.
- In-store: Visit a Tesco Mobile store and ask to switch your number to Tesco Mobile.
4. Wait for your number transfer to Tesco Mobile to complete
Tesco Mobile will send the transfer request to EcoTalk.
Your number should move to your new Tesco Mobile SIM within 1 to 2 working days.
